I love my classes this semester! Everything is going so well! I have had a few exams and quizzes and feel really confident about everything.
I am taking a snowboarding class this semester at Beaver Mt. Ski Resort. It is such a good class I love it. Yesterday we went into the terrain park and I tried to jump my first box. A box for those who don't know is like a really thick rail.
This first attempt was not so successful. I got on to the box just fine, then I started to lean back, causing my board to go off sideways. I fell off the box and hit my knee on the corner edge, resulting in a golf ball size goose egg just below my right knee-cap.
I love this class! Even with the injuries it is so much fun!

Christmas is over...Back to the real world.
Christmas break was so enjoyable! I got to spend some great time with my family.
Over the break I had the opportunity to work with my Aunt at Mortan Salt. It was a great chance to earn some extra money and also to spend time with my aunt.
I am already loving this semester at school. Now that I am into my major I am enjoying what we are learning about.
My one fear for this semester is Stats! I'm not the best at math so I was not looking forward to this class. However, this class was a very pleasant surprise. I LOVE my teacher. She explains things in a way that makes them easy for my to understand. We have a quiz tomorrow and I have a really good feeling about it.
Wish me luck!

The game this weekend was awesome! The USU fans were crazy - In a good way. I went down to the game with my fellow Aggie Shayly and a BYU fan Alyssa. Is was a little tough sitting next to a Cougar, but we made it through the game ok. It was sad that we lost, but the fans won for who cheered the best!

Here is a piece of an article from the deseret news that Rick Harmon, an avid cougar supporter, wrote following the game. That was wild, we should be extra proud of our school after that!

"The Aggies proved they can control the tempo with a team like the Cougars, who came in averaging a lofty 81 a game. While both sides drew great fan support, we learned the Aggies can transfer their legendary spirit of the Spectrum home court.

The Aggie student section killed the BYU side. They arrived earlier and were louder. It was like USU students came wired for an organized, orchestrated cage fight with a script. BYU's side sounded like they were at family home evening without a lesson plan leader.

"I've never played Utah State before," said BYU's Jonathan Tavernari, who led all scorers with 24 points. "This will help me for when we go up there next year."Sort of. It will be twice as loud. And personal."

Thanksgiving weekend was very relaxing. I went home for the week and got to spend a lot of time with my family. It was so nice to take a little break from school and finals.

All of my finals are coming up so this week will be full of studying, going to SI sessions, and attending study groups. Fun huh?

I was very excited to find out that a personal narrative that I had written for my English 2010 class was chosen for the Voices contest here on campus. This coming Thursday I will be attending the competition and will be reading a section from my paper. I am so excited! Wish me luck!

This weekend I had the great opportunity to help with the Utah State University Special Olympics. It was such an awesome experience. I was so impressed by these athletes. It was obvious that they had spent many, many hours practicing for these events. USU did a great job at organizing this event. As a volunteer I was asked to cheer at the basketball game and help in the field house. It was a total blast!
